We are very excited to announce our newest project the Q-Bits Radio Play Podcast, a new series of short radio plays exploring, celebrating, and speaking to experiences of gender and sexual minorities. Q-Bits will premiere on July 1, 2021, on Patreon.
ABOUT THE Q COLLECTIVE
The Q Collective launched in 2018 with its first iteration of The Coming Out Play Festival, drawing over 100 people during its 3 performances. Since that time, we have continued to produce new work to growing acclaim as well as producing a sold-out run of John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask’s groundbreaking, Obie-winning Off-Broadway musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
The Q Collective produces theatre that explores gender, sexuality, romantic orientation and emphasizes the development of local talent, in an atmosphere of respect and openness while also encouraging risk-taking and truth-telling.
The Q Collective is committed to maintaining a safe environment for artists to work. We have adopted the Chicago Theatre Standards so that non-union artists may also have the same protections guaranteed to Actors Equity Association artists. Please find the standards at notinourhouse.org.
